This Application Note introduces the subject of industrial cooling and discusses the most important energy savings in this area. Industrial cooling typically consumes up to 7% of the national electrical consumption in Western Europe.

Cooling is very expensive, so it is important that it is used only where really necessary, the temperature differential is kept as low as possible, and only the most efficient technology is used.
